Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career in finance? If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a Chief Accountant to join our Finance team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. As a Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising and allocating tasks within the Accountancy Section to ensure timely completion.
- Collaborating with external financial auditors during annual financial statement audits.
- Contributing to the preparation of annual revenue and capital budgets, monitor financial performance, and complete annual accounts.
- Providing accounting support for the Housing Revenue Account, including budgeting, monitoring, and financial advice.
- Maintaining monthly intercompany reconciliations, Fixed Assets Register, and accounts payable/receivables reports.
- Managing AzamPay and Bulk payout transactions and reconcile them with Mobiquity.
- Performing and formalizing internal controls, support audits, and ensure compliance with IFRS.
