StarTimes,also as a branding name of Star Media(Tanzania) Limited, is a Technology company that was established in 1988 in China. Startimes decoder operates based on the DVB–T (Digital Video Broadcast-Terrestrial) standard which requires no dish. All that is needed is an antenna, to pick up the transmission frequency.
- Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Conducting research on potential clients’ products or services and determining the geographic location of the majority of their target customers.
- Setting up meetings with potential clients to present advertising proposals and address their concerns.
- Assisting the marketing team in the preparation of media kits and promotional plans.
- Attending sales meetings, trade shows, and training workshops as required.
- Persuading clients to purchase company advertising products and services by communicating the benefits of various types of advertising.
- Providing recommendations on suitable formats, advertising mediums, and font sizes.
- Preparing sample advertisements for clients.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or any other related field. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for the position.
Experience: A candidate for the position must have had at least 3 years of working experience in an advertising sales position within a fast paced and dynamic business environment, preferably working in the Media Industry – TV stations.
Communication Skills: Good Communication skills
Leadership/People Skills: Approachable individual, which will make it easy to attract customer into the business and retain existing customers.
