Jambo For Development is a national NGO working in Tanzania’s Kagera Region to support children and youth in the areas of education, health, and gender equality through sports. Conducting workshops, JFD trains primary school teachers on life skills as well as knowledge on water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) and menstrual hygiene, using specially created educational games. Playing those games at JFD “Bonanzas”, school children get the chance to compete for their individual school building project, including classrooms, toilets, or water tanks. JFD is donation-based, raising most of its funding through its partner organisation Jambo Bukoba (JB) in Germany. With their innovative concept, JFD & JB have reached nearly 600.000 children in Kagera Region. For its growing voluntary Board of Directors, Jambo For Development is looking for skilled individuals in the following positions:
